Coca Cola goes green

“PlantBottle is our first generation recyclable PT plastic made partially from plants.”

Scott Vitters, the global head of sustainable packaging for the Coca-Cola Company, gave an interview to Greenbiz.com where he talked about the Plantbottle, their first generation recyclable PT plastic made partially from plants.

What could be the effects of such a significant action? If we consider the name, we can agree on the big impact a bottle made from plants could have on the average consumer, who is growing greener every day. Even if it´s “partially made for plants”, the marketing strategy is quite up-to-date and the name is probably going to be very popular and therefore, consolidate the concept.
